The Challenge
Our client is a content led travel website offering in-depth travel and holiday advice.
With a business model that relies heavily on brand tenancy partnerships, affiliate and advertising it operates in one of the most competitive online sectors.
From tier one publishers like Vogue and the Times to committed and passionate travel bloggers and voucher affiliates, every single piece of content faces a battle for clicks and search engine visibility.
The challenge was clear: our client needed to grow visibility for its content and persuade travellers and holiday makers to make more of its products and services.
The Strategy
To address this problem, Astrid IQ worked with our client to formulate and deliver a comprehensive SEO strategy.
We started by carrying out a detailed analysis of more than 100K URLs to identify weaknesses in content quality as well as the technical health and overall structure of the website.
Meticulous SEO research was also carried out to identify content gaps, competitor strategies, and to formulate topic and keyword clusters.
Our focus was on removing or improving outdated legacy content, creating a more helpful experience for the users, and making sure that Google’s EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authority & Trust) guidelines were exceeded.
The Results
Within 6 months the website grew from 900K quarterly visitors to 2.1M. This was driven by a surge in Top 3 keyword ranking for its core travel product pages and its extensive catalogue of travel blogs and guides.

Key travel product pages achieve in excess of 20% share of voice collectively leading to a meaningful leap in revenue from both short and long term bookings.
The client is now firmly established as a top tier travel publisher with significant keyword rankings supporting its drive to build more brand partnerships and launch new products.
